Next film’s official release title to be “Humble Pie”

Although in production for several months, Boxelder Films’ next release has been re-titled Humble Pie. The original title was “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Cabin”, as it was partially inspired by Ambrose Beirce’s short story An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. The story was later made into a French live-action short film (“La Rivière du Hibou”) that was featured as an episode of the original “The Twilight Zone” in 1964.

Feeling that “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Cabin” was a bit unwieldy for a three minute film, we kicked around several ideas before finally settling on Humble Pie, a familiar expression that also ties into the story very nicely!

First Color Scene done for “Owl Creek”

The first completely finished scene (Seq 1, scene 7, lest you wonder) has been cut into the show reel for our film “Owl Creek” (working title). Unlike “My Cat is Evil”, Boxelder is bringing in more artists and talent to complete this film, including Cynthia’s colleagues and students from Brigham Young University. This film will also have a Dolby 5.1 soundtrack – a first for Dave.
