Our animated short, “Humble Pie” will have its UK premiere this week in the UK Film Festival.
It will be in the shorts and animation block on Thursday, Nov. 26th at 6pm in The Framestore Preview Cinema, 19-23 Wells Street, London
This will be the film’s tenth festival screening!
Boxelder Films’ second animated short, “Humble Pie” will screen in competition at the Austin Film Festival, October 29th to November 5th!
We’re thrilled that “Humble Pie” will be screened in the Anibar International Animation Animation Festival in Peja, Kosovo August 20th to 26th. Anibar has a special place in our hearts as we visited the festival in 2011 and met so many wonderful people. This also marks the first time we have had two films in the same festival – “My Cat is Evil” screened at Anibar last year. We’re glad to be back in spirit, if not in person!
“Humble Pie” has been selected for screening in the 2015 Traverse City Film Festival. The invitation-only festival was founded by filmmaker Michael Moore and runs from July 28th to August 2nd in Traverse City, Michigan. The festival is committed to showing “just great movies” (ahem!) and is now in its 10th year.
“Humble Pie” has been accepted into the Independent Filmmaker’s Showcase Film Festival in Beverly Hills, Ca. This will be the 20th year for the festival, running from May 26th to June 14th. Specific screening times have not been announced yet, but the info will be posted here, or visit the IFS website for details.
“Humble Pie” will be screening in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival this weekend and next – Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 25th. More information and tickets available at the MSPIFF site!
“Humble Pie” will screen in competition at the 2015 Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival, April 9th through 25th. MSPIFF is one of the largest and longest-running film festivals in the country, attracting over 40,000 attendees each year.

“Humble Pie” will have its international premiere at the 18th Annual Holland Animation Film Festival, March 18th – 22nd. This international festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands features films from all over the world and includes categories for independent and student films as well as “applied animation” such as commercials and titles.

Cynthia and Dave were on hand as “Humble Pie” screened as part of the “Comedy Shorts” block of the Johns Hopkins Film Festival last night. The festival said of “Humble Pie”: “This film is impossible to dislike. It’s completely adorable.”
